Un burka por amor : la emotiva historia de una española atrapada en Afganistán / Reyes Monforte.

Una noche, María Galera se puso en contacto con el programa de Reyes Monforte en Punto Radio. Su voz llegaba clara desde Afganistán, pidiendo ayuda y relatando su increíble historia: había conocido en Londres a un afgano de quien se había enamorado perdidamente, hasta el punto de casarse, convertirse al islam y seguirlo hasta su país de origen, donde había tenido que acatar las estrictas leyes del régimen talibán. Con el comienzo de la guerra, ambos habían quedado atrapados en aquel remoto país, sin dinero ni documentación, y en unas pésimas condiciones de vida que no impidieron a María dar a luz a dos hijos. Su tercer embarazo y la preocupación por la seguridad de su familia la empujaron a buscar ayuda para salir del país, algo que consiguió gracias a un empresario mallorquín que se conmovió al escuchar sus palabras, llenas de sufrimiento y desesperación, a través del programa. Hoy, ya desde Mallorca y a través de la periodista que logró escucharla, nos narra su historia de amor incondicional, pasión y lucha por sobrevivir en un país y una cultura extrañas.

One night, María Galera contacted Reyes Monforte's program on Punto Radio. Her voice came through clearly from Afghanistan, asking for help and recounting her incredible story: she had met an Afghan man in London whom she had fallen deeply in love with, to the point of marrying him, converting to Islam, and following him to his home country where she had to comply with the strict laws of the Taliban regime. With the start of the war, they both became trapped in that remote country, without money or documentation, and in terrible living conditions that did not prevent María from giving birth to two children. Her third pregnancy and concern for her family's safety prompted her to seek help to leave the country, something she achieved thanks to a businessman from Mallorca who was moved by her words, full of suffering and despair, through the program. Today, now from Mallorca and through the journalist who managed to listen to her, she tells us her story of unconditional love, passion, and struggle to survive in a foreign country and culture.
